E RPI 8/30/2010

1.  SOFTBALL'S FINEST (LR 2) - Stayed home and got 55 points for Worlds by placing 2nd in the Cowtown Showdown.  More wins, more games played bump these guys up from 2 to 1.
2.  LATIN SMOKE (LR 1) - An 0-2 finish in Hutch moves these guys down this week even though they got 140 points for their troubles.  Props for playing up a class, but the upper class just handed them their ass.
3.  USAFA FLYERS (LR 3) - Didn't play, but they don't move.  Good squad.  Will we see them again before Worlds?
4.  RETRIBUTION (LR Not Ranked) - A tournament win and two victories over Softball's Finest puts these guys on the radar they've been flying under for a while.
5.  AFTERMATH/COLORADOMUSH.COM (LR 4) - Didn't play and slip a spot because of it.

Disappointment of the week
LATIN SMOKE - It would have been nice to win one in Kansas.

Surprises of the week
RETRIBUTION - They haven't gone 0-2 all year, better than .500 in 7 of 9 tournaments, and seem to be hitting their stride at the right time of the year.  Cowtown Showdown Champs.

D RPI 8/30/2010

1. Mile High SBC (LR 1) - Solid showing in Kansas National with both loses coming from local teams. But since half the field was from Colorado I won't penalize them too much. Still numero uno in my book. Good luck at Hispanic worlds!
2. Team Rival (LR 4) - Great run in Kansas Nationals. Does Rival have their Swagger back? Let's hope they make a good showing at Worlds.
3. Ugly Truth(LR 5) - 2-2 Showing at Kansas National, some tough loses with no production from a usually solid offense.
4. ACME Pawn (LR 2) - Didn't travel this week for Nationals, the back to back state champions remain in the top because of their State run, would love to see these guys play more ball though.
5 TIE Who Dey (LR Not Ranked) - Solid national tourney and lost to the eventual champions by 1 run. Good team and could be the surprise team from Colorado at Worlds.
5 TIE Denver Dukes (LR Not Ranked) - Another team that played in C ball most of the year and will finish the year in D. They have been coming on strong and seems like they are about to click. I like them to be the top finishing CO team at Worlds.

Dissapointment of the Week
Romes (LR 3) - Drove all the way to Kansas to put up 3 runs in 2 games. Not a great tourney but I look for them to bounce back.

Surprise of the Week
Denver Dukes (LR Not Ranked) - 2 tough loses in Kansas National but overall a really good tourney.
Latin Smoke (LR NR in D) - Tough tourney but I got to give them props for heading out there and playing up. More teams need to challenge themselves from time to time too.
