OHIO TEAM UNDEFEATED TO WIN CLASS D STRAWBERRY FEST

NEWS FLASH R&L CONCRETE IS 13-2 THIS YEAR AGAINST MICHIGANS TOP D TEAMS

R&L Concrete was undefeated Saturday and will be a major hurdle when the Great Lakes Regional Title is on the line. R&L had the Tournaments best run differential with 6.6 largely due to their defense which only allowed 6.8 runs per game, and they shut out a very good TGI team 14-0. Arguably the top 2 D teams from Michigan played each other tough, but Mayhem came out on top both times beating Detroits Own 6-4 and 12-11. After Mayhem beat the 3rd place Detroits Own in the Losers Bracket Final, they put up a fight against R&L in the Finals but came up short losing 5-4.

Results:
1st Place: R&L CONCRETE
2nd Place: Mayhem/Grafton Innfrozen
3rd Place: Detroit's Own

BULL DOGS DOUBLE DIP FOR THE TITLE

BULL DOGS PROVE THEY DESERVE TO BE TALKED ABOUT IN THE TOP 5 RANKINGS

For a game ruled by offense, for the 2nd straight week in Class E Defense ruled the day. 2 of the lowest runs per game defenses finished 1st and 2nd. The Bulldogs double dipped the forever steady Big Gamers to win the Class E Strawberry Festival. After losing the Winner Bracket Final to the Big Gamers 8-6, the Bull Dogs crushed a very tired Khaos team 17-7 setting up the double dip. Both the Big Gamers and Bulldogs played great defense all day and the Finals were no exception. The Bulldogs had a 1 run win and a 3 run win and neither team scored more than 6 runs. Khaos finished 3rd, and made it their the hard way. They won 5 straight in the Losers Bracket, before running out of gas in the Loser Bracket Finals. Michigan Magic deserves mention as they had the best scoring and the best run differential, but those stats were inflated by 16-1 and 29-10 victories against lesser talent.

Results:
1st Place: Bulldogs/CJ's Financial
2nd Place: Big Gamers
3rd Place: KHAOS
